aduh hujan lagi... also....

went to the city (for the forth time) to buy clotheshanger, calculator and a bag... and unlucky me, I got wet by the rain again for the second time...

*sigh* woe is me...

also....

a fire alarm occurs here around 6.20-ish pm...
what I did...
Put on my pants (belt not buckled); put N95, wallet and key into pocket; locked my door (with the deafening noise at my ears); lock the main door to our twin rooms; walk quickly while banging on some other peoples door (following procedure); go down the stairs, and I am outside!

Outside wearing a sleeveless shirt, an unzipped pants (which I quickly rectify before the others notice me) and NOT wearing a slipper.

ARGH! Cold cold cold! COLDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!

at around 6.40ish we finally being allowed to go inside... so I put on my cara melayu shirt; wear the slipper; and off I go to the nearby mosque to break my "fast".

For your info, I have been told that this is the second time, and this time room 41 was responsible for this. It has been told that they (either koreans, chinese or taiwans) were cooking as usual, which eventually set off the alarm...

Extra info: our scheduled fire drill (told by Jenny the Cleaner) is 10am-12pm tomorrow... yet twice this has already occurs...

Extra info part 2: my friend ziq, told me the statistics (told by the UEA during orientation) was 600 fire alarms in one year...

And here I am again! Third time in BB XD

Abu Hurairah (far right) having a picnic-style sungkai with his family in their own little corner at the Brunei International Airport on Thursday while waiting for his flight to the UK. Photo: Zasika Musdi

Some of the 300 people thronging the Brunei International Airport on Thursday night to send off family and friends - mainly to the United Kingdom - turned inventive when it came to breaking their fast.

The combination of the holy month of Ramadhan and most UK universities opening in mid- September caused many to arrive as early as 4pm to check-in in order to get good flight seats.

Since the two main restaurants of the airport, Express Restaurant and the Royal Brunei Catering Restaurant, were fully booked, many waiting for the 7.30pm flight had to break their fast all around the airport.

One family stood out from the rest. While others stood around eating, this family brought along a mat, and had sungkai picnic-style in a corner of the airport. Even bringing their own food; it was as if they've been through it all before. The family was sending off Abu Hurairah bin Haji Abu Hanafiah, a student studying at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. The airport is usually busy around this time, especially since the number of students studying in the United Kingdom has increased annually. This year alone, 387 students have been awarded government scholarships for the 2007/2008 session.

It is expected to be busier once people start leaving for umrah.

ONOZ! its raining!

It was raining, and the bad news, I had to walk all the way to my faculty in the rain....

bad news: My newly purchased umbrella is in my friend's room, and she left already

bad news: my registration is in the afternoon...

bad news: going back all the way to my room, all wet...

good news: hot water

:\

Sahur!

What I had... a few Krispy Kreme donuts a diet coke. Nice combination eh. Sigh, since we arrived late to the uni, I do not have the cooking utensils as the shops are all closed. While sahuring, I update my blog using M.word... Gotta go to the city to buy stuffs.

Real Men don’t cry...

We only shed tears... a lot... Yeah, now I know how all international students feel of being homesick, away from your love ones. What made me cry was that I have limited credit for my mobile, thus very hard for me to communicate. Adding to that there is no internet. And finally this when unpacking, I remember the times with my mother buying, preparing, laughing and eating out together to spend some quality bonding time before I depart from Brunei.
Another blow (well sobbing quietly alone session) is when after a few sms to her, she replied back “...mudah2an ko sihat walafiat n sentiasa dlm lindungan Allah. Luv U”. I just cry and cry quietly, thinking of my mum and family. Yeah I am anak manja, but it can’t be denied, syurga di bawah tapak kaki ibu (heaven lies beneath mother’s feet) and she was the one who gave birth, raises and nurtured me and shape me to become who I am.
The current blow is writing this blog (especially mentioning of mum and family) and the call I received from my mother to tell me the number to top-up my credit number. I was overjoyed. Finally I can listen to her voice, updating each other, and listening to each other voices. Mind you mother, I was holding my tears when we were talking to each other , and when the call ended, my tears seems unable to stop flowing until I finished this sentence.
Yeah ma, me as a real men don’t cry, we just shed tears... a lot... I love you and miss you truly, and I shall become a good son you expected me to be, and I shall return with my masters as a triumphant trophy for you to be proud off.
Gotta end now, tissue getting scarce.
Love you all (especially to my mother)

My place!

No! I am not referring to the “My Place Cafe brunei”. XP moving on, we went to the girls room to temporary drop off our bags (as I have not got mine yet), and continued to go down to attend the “Meet the Resident’s Tutor house” as they discuss fire safety and the do’s and don’ts (personal note, need to meet them later to introduce myself and need a quick recap and advice). After all that, we went to the Accommodation officer to get my room, and finally! It is done! I have my room in the Constable Terrace house, a 2 individual room, with sharing toilet/shower pod with a sharing kitchen (an oven with an electric stove, a sink and a small refrigerator). Unfortunately I didn’t get the Norfolk or Suffolk terrace, and the disadvantage of this place is that is the other end of the Uni (very far from city) and requires quite a bit of walking towards the shopping (uni area) and the classrooms/faculties. The advantage is that it is VERY near to the mosque, so that’s a plus for me. The room is small, enough for a bed, a table, 5 plug outlets, a heater, a window with a limited opening range, 2 small cupboards (enough for my clothes), a pin board and a wall mantel thingy. Oh yeah, all that for 80pounds per week, INCLUSIVE of water, fuel, heat and INTERNET! But then again, have to wait till Monday till I can register myself T_T
Anymore? Hmm, I have a Jordanian muslim, mr. A, as my roomie, but we kept to ourselves, and I hope not much problem shall arise between us (would like to make him my friend but for now he is kinda reserve).
Thus here I am in my room, preparing to face the challenges of studying abroad.

UEA here I come!

Hehe, I can already imagine you wanting me to tell more about Ali 1 and Ali 2. Well it’s like this, Ali the driver told me we just met Iranians which have Ali as surname, just like the Mohammads, the something something (forgotten the name). This particular Ali the driver is a 33year old driver (he claimed, I am betting he is more older than that) is a muslim but then again drinks coffee in the car, eat any food (as he said halal in the heart even though it is obviously not halal) and as I found out, drinks a few occasional beer (which he claimed is good for the body, and asked me to do the same, in which I decline of course). His car is installed with a TOMTOM GPRS device, which is a handy device to show you the way to the place, as long as you have the postcode number.
Thus with Ali as our driver, with his poor English (but at least a bit understandable, need a few seconds to decipher) we journey with him, and talk with him: about brunei; about UK, about his father having 3 wives; about his “stupid mother” marrying at 9 years old; and such. Mind you, all 3 of us heard he saying “stupid mother” and that is not from us :\
The journey has wow us, as the country side is beautiful, with the cool air seeps into the car through the narrow opening of the window. At one part, there was a traffic, but when car is not moving, ms. Z saw blue berries on the side of the road (well we could let her pick, if she don’t mind to be left behind as the car is getting ready to move on XD). Also we saw horses *woof woof*, woolly sheeps *woof-woof*, cows *woof-woof* and some few more farm animals along the way. By the way, I am trying to communicate with the animals with *woof-woof* sound but they ignore me XP.
Finally we have arrived, but a drama unfolds. Where do we get the keys? Ms.Z called her friend, thus they rush off to get the keys, as Ali wanted to go somewhere else, and asked us to hurry. I guard the bags in the car though, but Ali then showed his other nature, where he walks, asked me to call them to hurry up, paced around again, mumbling where are they? where are they? and finally went to the other side to look for them (while I still do my job). Finally the 2 girls came back, got their keys (need to show my ID first later then I can get my own keys), Ali came back, went off (yeah, Ali is kinda frustrated a bit, we can see) drop us off to our place, paid him and said our goodbyes to him.

I have arrived UK!!!

Finally I have arrived in UK (thanks to a few hours nap, music and no thanks to the remote) and wow, everything is big here and wow look at that car park (and we dared to complain cemana kan mencari parking). Went out the airplane, bus, walk walk walk to the immigration counter, got a free and quick access to the counter (students only), submit my med check to the health office, go to counter 6, get my bags and jeng jeng! Out I go to meet with the awaiting teacher outside. I wait with the others so that we can as a group go together. Unfortunately the last 2 students are late... really late... and *gasp!* a drama unfolds! The late student is waiting for their bag (told by the other teacher)
*Gasp!* a girl amongst our group found out that her bag is not hers. It looks like her bag but it isn’t, and mind you it’s a Bruneian yellow tag bag. Thus the other teacher went in, out came the late girl, went ecstatic went she found her bag (the same for the other girl) and we can be merrily board our bus, and goes to Bruhall, the centre of Bruneian (students and teachers alike) based community.
Wow, wow, wow! During the whole 1 hour plus journey from the airport to Bruhall, I am amazed by UK already, especially the beautifully clean brick houses, the lady and the pigeons (in the park), the many kind of shops, the traffic (gets jammed easily) and how close they are to each other. Seriously, they are driving too close and one time I nearly panic as the guy on a bicycle went through the small narrow opening between two buses (public and ours).
Arrived at Bruhall, but then again its nearly 12. Saw my little sis, CT, and we carried our bags to the hall. *gasp!* I got an on arrival present! A box of Krispy Kreme! I took a quick peek and boy, does the donuts made me drool! Why you could basically smell the donuts when you just open a bit of the box. Anyhoo moving on, inside, us 3, dbc, ms. Z and ms. Pink girl (hehe) discuss, and decide to go A.S.A.P to our hall, not just about the accommodation, but to at least attend the other orientation the next day (sadly we missed today’s one). So with such short time with my little sister (who I am grateful for helping me to exchange my money and getting me some water) we left Bruhall at 1++pm (after a session of briefing) and hop aboard a rented cab? Car?
No worries ma and pa, we only spent 10 pounds in total as we pay the driver 250 pounds, the 240 will be reimbursed by the Bruhall. Thus we travel to UEA, a 2 hours plus trip, with our Iranian driver named Ali 1 (we met Ali 2 earlier, but he opted out of the journey)

The Dubai transit.

Hehe, guess who I met in Dubai? (Sorry question is only related to brustu-ians) Answer: Xhudess and lilac! We took a few pictures, talk about UK and stuffs and walk to our gate.
Ok, interesting part. Part one, our group is unlucky enough as we cannot do some quick shopping (except lilac buying some cinnamon buns) as we have to walk all the way to the other side of the terminal to gate 32. Part 2, our journey is from airplane, bus, terminal, walk to one end, bus, and finally reboard the airplane...
(...)
By the way, guys and gals beware when screening the bags through the X-ray machine, as Xhu’s went missing for a while (can I say he nearly went ballistic?) as lots of important documents inside and his wallet. He told me the staff just shrugs their shoulders when he asked for his bags. Magically after a few minutes, his bag reappears. Not sure how the story goes (gotta ask Xhu again) but thank Allah it’s all in there.
There was also drama in my part. Empty my right pants pocket contents (wallet, key etc) and went through the metal detector.
*Beep*
Went out and open belt
*Beep*
Went out, stupid enough not to empty my LEFT pocket, took out my switched-on N95, and it went beep less when I walked through. (><)\ <-kira ampas kepala lah ni
And thus ends the drama in Dubai XD

The Journey from Brunei to Dubai.

As usual the flight is delayed. Inside found my friend ms. N.H where our friends were searching for her outside the terminal. She told me that she came into the terminal lobby early because the counter staff told her to get in at 6.30 ><. No worries though as she managed to say some last words to our friend outside using my phone (before I go in of course). Finally boarded the plane and I sat at 27h on the aisle side. Reason I want that side because of my size, thus reducing the inconvenience of passing though the neighbouring passenger when I want to go to toilet (which I tend to go a lot). Unfortunately there are the con side of the aisle seat. First your arm (my left) is subjected to accidental butt strike by passing passengers and the steward/stewardess. Second is the fear of the falling objects from above (where the bags were stowed). Finally is that you have less or no view of the outside beautiful scenery (as the window seat passenger control the area).
The sad part of this long journey is that my seat, 27h has I think a faulty remote, as I cannot access the entertainment centre. The 2 kind stewardesses tried to reset the system for me twice but to no avail. They did offer me to change seats but I decline (personal reasons). So dad or RBA-staff in Brunei, take note of my problem, and try to rectify it before another passenger complains.
‘Twas a long journey (7 hours) and I can’t go to sleep due to excitedness and the occasional hit-and-butt-bump events. Thank Allah that the other side of the remote is functional thus I can use it to listen to music and watch TV... with lots of re-runs of 1 episode Frasier, “The secret Millionaire”, Just for laughs and such. Had dinner but then I just realised something. Sure the N95 is a multipurpose device, but then again 1 major disadvantage arises in special situations. Such a situation is what I am experiencing now as I cannot switch on my mobile (to access the camera) as “it may cause interference” as one stewardess said. If I have a separate camera (and mp3 player) those items can be used, but not mobile...
Thus the journey is just that for the 7 hours (entertained for a while, tried to sleep) and finally we arrive at Dubai to be transit.

The beginning of the journey.

Arrive at airport at 5-ish pm. Checked in but due to excess kilos by 6, I hand carried my friend’s traditional malay cake (which is 3 kgs) and leave my bag and a smart shoe (brought home by my father).
At the airport, my family (including my aunts, uncles, grandpa, grandma, cousins and uncles) and my friends were sitting/standing there, chatting and waiting for my departure at 7.30pm. While waiting, since this is the fasting month, the family break “fast” and had a light food. While eating, I jokingly said that “we should have bring along a mat for us to sit and eat on the floor”. Not long after that, what I joke became true! It was a sight to be seen, as people watch me, my aunts and my mom sitting on the mat, in the airport lobby XD. It does not end there, as a reporter (from which newspaper, we weren’t sure) took our picture sitting there, and asked a simple question on whom was sent (me) and to where (UEA, Norwich; UK!). I do hope the pictures can be sent to me from Brunei
The time finally arrive, and thus this anak manja (pampered child?) kiss, hugs, asked for forgiveness for one last time before going into the terminal. My feeling right now as I typed this was the same as when I was at the airport, trying my best to hold my tears, but the in end, the inevitable occurs, as the thought of leaving your love ones, your good life, your mates, your stuffs and your country is too unbearable to think of. And for one last time before I entered, my best mate, Emad Syukri, gave me one final bros handshake and thus began my journey to a country I have never been before, alone but hoping to bring out the best in me, for me, my family, my friends and my country.

I have face one of my fears!

This morning, I went to face one of my biggest fears... visiting the dentist!
Since I was early, I am the 10th person (where 5 people have done it already)

The ticket

I was told from my last med check, he told me to go to the nearest clinic/dentist to get my tooth filled. UNFORTUNATELY the dentist (today) found out (after she cleared the cavity using the drill) that the nerve has been already exposed, thus... it has to be taken out!

OH NOESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And thus, facing my fears, I have endure the injections (painkillers?) and the mercy of the dentist to take out my only bad tooth. (I am having flashbacks of the way she pull and thug my tooth, and the ice-pick thingy that pick and kinda like screwing my tooth)

The resultant... a big gaping hole...

And here is the tooth...

And now, due to the removed tooth, I'm having trouble eating. Ah well, at least I have faced my fears... in the future, if i see another cavity, I WILL SURELY see the dentist, to filled it, BEFORE I HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS AGAIN...

Kerana UK,
Doctor Pergigian ku Jumpai,
Kerana Uk,
Kana cabut gigiku ini.

(english translation: because of Uk, I went to see the dentist; because of uk, my tooth is taken out)

(this is what I message my mother BEFORE I went in for the final time)
Uwa uwa uwa,
kana injek mulut,
Uwa uwa uwa,
gigiku kana cabut.

yeah, I was inspired at that time (malay poem?)

CAR ACCIDENT: JKR and BMW (brunei)

Location: Perpindahan Berakas hampir ISB, dapan sikit.
Time: 3.45pm (pic taken)
date: 17th September 2007
It is reported that the BMW driver is ok. Not sure what happened to the other driver.

Hope both of them are alright. Myself have already involved in 3 accidents (twice got rammed at, and the last one was near death experience) and I know how they feel. Car accidents are no laughing matter, thus try to be a safe driver, instead being of a reckless one, as not only your lives are at stake, but the people around you. A few occasions it is unavoidable (tyre went burst etc) thus be your best to minimised the accident. After my own (especially the last one) accident, thank Allah and am truly grateful that I am still alive. And I do hope to those 2 driver feel the same way too.

IN THE NEAR FUTURE

Operator : "Thank you for calling Pizza Company."

Customer: "Hi, I'd like to order.."

Operator : "May I have your NIDN first, sir?"

Customer: "My National ID Number, yeah, hold on, eh, it's 3891100189185."

Operator : "Thank you, Mr. Grover. I see you live at 947 Mubaan Pricha, and the phone number is 02-8862840. Your office number at Pratunam complex is 02-6562677 and your mobile phone number is 01-6467826. Which number are you calling from, sir?"

Customer: "Huh?, I am at home. Where did you get all this information?"

Operator : "We are wired into the system, sir."

Customer: (Sighs) "Oh, well, I would like to order a couple of your All-Meat Special Pizza..."

Operator : "I don't think that's a good idea, sir."

Customer: "What do you mean?"

Operator : "Sir, your medical records indicate that you have got very high blood pressure and extremely high cholesterol. Your 30 Baht, National Health Care provider would not allow such an unhealthy choice."

Customer: "Damn, what do you recommend, then?"

Operator : "You might try our low-fat Soyabean Yogurt Pizza. I'm sure you will like it."

Customer: "What makes you think I would like something like that?"

Operator : "Well, you checked out 'Gourmet Soyabean Recipes' from the British Council library last week, sir. That's why I made that suggestion."

Customer: "All right, all right. Give me two family-sized ones, then. What's the damage?"

Operator : "That should be plenty for you, your wife, your four kids, your mistress and a kid on the way, sir. The 'damage' as you put it, heh-heh, comes to Baht 1560."

Customer: "Let me give you my credit card number."

Operator : "I'm sorry sir, but I'm afraid you'll have to pay in cash. Your credit card balance is over limit."

Customer: "I'll run over to the ATM and get some cash before your delivery arrives."

Operator : "That won't work either, sir. Your checking account's overdrawn."

Customer: "Never mind. Just send the pizzas. I'll have the cash ready. How long will it take?"

Operator : "We're running a little behind, sir. It'll be about 45 minutes, sir. If you are in a hurry you might want to pick them up while you are out getting the cash, but carrying pizzas on a motorcycle can be a little awkward."

Customer: "How did you know I'm riding a bike?"

Operator : "It says here you are in arrears on your car payments, so your car got repo'ed. But your Honda Steed 600 is fully paid up, so I just assumed that you would be using it."

Customer: "@#$%^&*@#$%^&^%$#@" (Censored)

Operator : "I'd advise you to watch your language, sir. You have already got a July 2004 conviction for accusing a traffic police officer, when he stopped you for a routine check."

Customer: "(Speechless)"

Operator : "Will there be anything else, sir?"

Customer: "No, nothing. Oh, yeah, don't forget the two free liters of Coke your ad says I get with the order of two family-sized pizzas."

Operator : "I'm sorry sir, but our ad's exclusionary clause prevents us from offering free soda to diabetics."

Thanks for your dedications

For those who dedicated to me on the radio *tahniah kepada abu kerana melanjutkan masters, aka congratulations abu for pursuing masters etc*. The last count was 7? 8 dedications?

What I found funny is that all those congrats and dedications, were all heard by my family, and NEVER ONCE being heard by me! Lol. They were ecstatic whenever they heard my name on the radio, and after the 6th? dedication, they were like..."gosh, everyone likes you" ^^

Ah well, eventhough I didn't manage to listen to those dedications, I still wanna say thanks from the bottom of my heart. You people are great ^^V

My new laptop :\

*sigh* the ones I want (asus, etc) from CFking is either sold out, out of stock and next week arrival, so I went to Netcom instead to buy my laptop. Would love to purchase from Concept but I hate going into their area, too crowded and hard to navigate (especially rush hour), and beseller? blacklist for life (UNLESS to buy parts, then its ok)

After much thought, and a nice help from one of the shop assistant, I bought this baby

To be quite honest, Acer wasn't my first choice. But then again, with budget constraints (<$2500) and wanting a good midline laptop (because I am a heavy user, thus desktop replacement is an obvious choice of mine), combined that with my time-constraint (either 16th, 18th or 20th I'm flying off to UK), I eventually chose this. When tested, for me it an ok-transition, the graphics are better than my current PC (T_T) when I played my favourite on-line game, Guildwars, and everything looks pretty in vista...

yeah... that bugs me, heavy in graphics in vista... I bet even with my 2 gigs ram, it may still slow down or even crashed due to "full" memory (like my lil sister's laptop). Thank god, so far I have yet encountered that problem and I do hope it shall never happens.

Oh yeah, its an ACER TravelMate 6592G-602G25Mn, Core 2 Duo T7500 (2x 2.2 GHz), 2x 1024MB; 250GB, DVD±RW DL/RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD2400 XT, 15.4" WSXGA+ (1680x1050), matte, VGA, DVI, TV-Out, Gigabit-LAN, WLAN (until N), Bluetooth 2.0, FireWire 400, ExpressCard, WebCam and Windows Vista Business, at a cash price of $2361, without gifts and from an original price of $2888. Unfortunately for me, with big size, comes heavy weight... of 3kg :\ I don't mind though for now, because I am kind of in a desperate situation. In the future, will buy a new one (more powerful by that time) and hopefully there will be some models available for me (like ASUS, with its better quality and lighter weight).

Battery? It fares well so far, and I can choose what kind of battery mode I want (power saver-more batt life, balance, or preeeety graphics aka very short life)

With extra cash, I also bought myself this lovely looking mouse, the G-Cube, Enchanted Collection, which only cost me $16. Mind you, it is not for gaming (800dpi) but only for everyday uses, and because it is good for the eyes

And it comes with its own bag! wow!

Sadly, Netcom didn't have the laptop cooling pad, as the size available is too small for my new laptop... so gotta shop again. Why? Well, during gaming, as usual the heat builds up and thus gets hot. At least this one has better heating dispensing capabilities, compared with my dad's Dell Laptop, where the heat can be felt and cause the laptop to force shutdown due to overheating.

ok, thats all from me. Wish me luck that my new laptop does not caused me too much problem (the only problem right now its 3 kg weight)

ps: oh yeah, did I mentioned this? Its the only one left here in Kiulap XD, the other one can be bought at Kb XD

Millenium Restaurant - Beribi, near Supasave

Ah the place where their Spagetti Cabonara is magnifique (5/5), but then I order something different off the menu for this review.

After ordering, a complementary bread ^^

Strawberry shake.

Creamy! Yummy! well-blended. Although the apperance is just... that... so 4/5

Cream of mushroom. Never expected this, because usually its all white. But I am impressed by its presentation. The taste? Mmm! Yummy! Me and my family have each tasted it, and we can assume that it is made up of potato, well-blended mushroom with hints of blackpepper. a 5/5!

My main course! The premium Aged Fillet Steak, in which I ordered it medium-rare (personal preferences). With chips at its side, the meat is covered with black-pepper sauce, creating a nice taste and appealing to me. And did you know? Its only $18??? 5/5!

My dad ordered this. A Lamb Cutlet, where he said its a bargain, because usually the restaurants give one-meat length on a bone, where Millenium offer twice the meat on twice the bone.

Actually, I like to go to Millenium ^^ because if your lucky the buffet will be good, but the ala-carte is where I like to go to, because of the Spagetti Cabonara and its meats, at a good price, with quality taste

Good show Millenium! Keep up the good work!

Ps: you may want to ONLY order spagetti cabonara, without any appetizers or deserts, because that alone can fill you up fast (due to the cream and the complementary french bread).

Remember the white kitty?

Ta-daa! Was in the area, went to the shop again, and lo-behold, the white kitty has... *gasp* sleeping guest! with itself sleeping!

Err... except the last one... the nice kitty kinda got awaken by me... somehow...

All this can be found here...

no purchase necessary... no seriously, the cat is NOT FOR SALE! XD

Taurean Cafe - kiulap

Went there yesterday, and I had a nice lunch, very nice ^^

First up!

Its called Virgo I, where they have a promotion off of it for 50%. Made up of peach and grenadine, topped with blended ice...

Stirred and drink... wow, it is good! for me a 5/5

As usual, I am trying to find a good buttermilk toast (like those at My Place Cafe), order the above and *sigh....* ITS GOOD! drools! 5/5!

The finale, the Tauream Chicken Rice. Once I pry open the chicken, steam came out. Tasted and its above average (just dont try to mixed the whole rice with the sauce, because the sauce can be a bit too thick, killing the taste). A 4/5

Salutations to Taurean, eventhough lacking in food menu (drink, however are aplenty) but hey at least you stick to quality at a decent price ^^

Maju Fast food AND Excellent Taste (ET) - centerpoint's food stalls

Introducing a contender from Maju Fast food... KB rojak!

Nice to have a KB rojak, although I have been told the REAL KB rojak is way better (in KB of course, forgotten the name though). But it is lacking in squid and too much in cucumber and pineapples (for me only): 3/5

Tea 'C' Special, or known to some shops as 3-layer tea. Good to drink. Go get it from the nearby bubblezone (4/5 is my rating)

Orange juice from M.F.F. Wow, real blended orange... unfortunately they went overboard with the ice, thus after a few sips and slurps, it suddenly ends... a 4/5 for taste, but 2/5 for quantity-wise (ps: try asking for less ice)

Milo shake (my lil sis drank this). She told me its 3/5, but I beg to differ, I found it to be well blended, milo-ish and has a nice appeal. For me, its a 4/5

Yay! From Excellent Taste... the REAL MEAT KNIFE (not like those from Charcoal)

I have order the mix grill, consists of chicken, lamb and beef meat. At first, kudos for its sizzling presentation. On taste, the lamb is good, the chicken is average... and the beef is a bit overcooked. Also the fries are stuck to the pan. Sauce-wise is average. I would rate this a 3/5
Try asking them to separate the fries, so that it won't get stuck to the plate and get soaked up by the sauce.

wrecked car... in a parking lot

Was at kiulap, shopping at netcom, and I saw this in the parking lot

What really intrigued me the most is that the car is in the parking area. So one can speculate that the car got involved in the accident, thus to prevent traffic blockage, they park the car there...

MY theory is that the car is happily parked there, then someone ram that car! XD

By the way, I didn't know hedges need bumpers XD
