While waiting for it to load, here is MY review of "the melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi"
2 words... 5/5, a must watch! (wait, overdose of words XD)

Basically its a story about Suzumiya, in the eyes of Kyon-kun, where this Suzumiya is "special"... she is pretty, beautiful, spontaneous, demanding AND BELIEVES In time-travellers, aliens and espers (up to a point she even announce her eagerness to meet them during the in-class self-introduction). She then created the SOS-dan, which stands for Sekai wo Ooini moriagerutame no Suzumiya Haruhi no Dan (oh english? it means Save our world by Overloading it with fun: Suzumiya Haruhi Brigade) and poor kyon-kun, he is force to be with her (but then again, some occasion, he just went to the club :\)

What got it more interesting is that, remember those 3 that Haruhi wanted to meet? Well, they did show up, BUT as members of the CLUB! But! Haruhi has no absolute idea that them 3 are in the same club as her! Why??? because the time-traveller (the lovely and I WANT HER Mikuru-chan), Alien (well, representative of the alien, Yuki) and the esper (Itsuki) won't tell her, well because:
1) Haruhi has "special" power that she herself do not know (up to a point, she is refer to have GOD like powers)
2) Thus they wanted to observe her powers WITHOUT consequences. If she is being told these 3 beings are near her, many things can happened.

ok, enough of that, I believe there are TONS of fansites that can explain better of this popular anime series. What I gave you its just the tip of the iceberg.

Moving on:
The anime is in an anachronic order, aka non-chronological order, thus forcing you to remember what happened 2 episodes before, or 3, or 4 XD. Its a fun and fresh way AND even if you just watch ep 1 to 14(without finding its real chronological order), its equally fun to watch ^^. The first episode is interesting as they opened it with a low-budget movie ><. Another note-worthy episode is when Suzumiya is singing in a band, with Yuki mad-guitar skills XD

Special shoutout to Yuki (in our GUILDWARS ALLIANCE) as he is obsess with this series (thus making us curious about it also).

Everyday I spend some time looking at webcomics, and gosh, thats a mighty lot. For your info, I have read ALL their archives, and as you can imagine, it takes a chunk of my time to read it all.

side note: i saw a PENNY ARCADE book being sold at readers haven (jerudong, 2 mins from my house ^^) and it sells for $20. I am very very very tempted to buy it... but financial restriction occurs X(
