Not sure who is listening to this song now BUT what caught my attention is the fact the song was sung apparently by the late Michael Jackson.

As usual, internet search, filtering out the ones the silly, untrue and such (which is hard) and finally my research eventually paid off.

The song "give thanks to Allah" was actually written and sung by Zain Bhikha, from Johannesburg, Gauteng South Africa, and he has been singing since he won the singing competition in 1994.

From wikipedia:
Zain Bhikha, born August 9, 1974 is a South African Muslim singer-songwriter, who has achieved fame as a performer of nasheed songs. Tied to other prominent Muslims entertainers, including Yusuf Islam and Dawud Wharnsby Ali, Bhikha has collaborated on albums with other artists, and has released several solo albums as well. He has written several religious albums concerning Islam.

Anyways, regarding the late MJ singing this, the rumour has also reached into the ears of the said Zain Bhikha, and in response to this, he posted the following:

Went shopping yesterday at SupaSave, as shown by the receipt above.

Apparently we just purchased a pizza which cost us $86.80!

Went to the counter to point out the problem, and the helpful saleslady checked, verified (real cost: $6.20), refunded our money and offers apologies.

What impresses me is that she alone done it A.S.A.P as opposed to the other superstore a.k.a Giant, which took me a good 15 mins to rectify their pricing error.

Doing something new today, investigating those forwarded emails that I received. Reason: I notice people tend to BELIEVE these e-mails claims 100% without questioning their validity and truthfulness. I remember one time, the local photocopy shop posted a forwarded email about mystical being/creature and once I googled it, it's actually a picture of a sculpture somewhere in Europe!

On with the show!

First up: FW: Be Careful when eating apples it is covered with WAX !!‏

Original email:

Be Careful when eating apples. Please don't eat the skin of the apple because it's coated with wax. Check before you eat many of the fruits. WAX is being used for preservation purposes and cold storage. You might be surprised especially apples from USA and other parts are more than one year old, though it would look fresh. Becox wax is coated, preventing bacteria to enter. So it does not get dry. Please Eat apples after removing the wax as demonstrated below. Please follow this and let others know....

So, is this true?

If my science was correct, apples do have a natural wax on their skin. However, I have learned that these natural wax were removed as they (the producers) have to washed these apples from dust and chemical residues. Then the apple is waxed again: reason is to slow down moisture loss, enhances firmness retention and slows down the apple respiration rate.

Question:Subsitute wax+commercial apples in local supermarket=safe?

Answer: Yes! According to the US Apple Association (remember, the email claim apples especially from the USA):

Waxes have been used on fruits and vegetables since the 1920s. They are all made from natural ingredients, and are certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be safe to eat. They come from natural sources including carnauba wax, from the leaves of a Brazilian palm; candellia wax, derived from reed-like desert plants of the genus Euphorbia; and food-grade shellac, which comes from a secretion of the lac bug found in India and Pakistan. These waxes are also approved for use as food additives for candy and pastries. (Now you know why your chocolate bars melt in your mouth but not in your hand…)

Go google it and you will find many other apple companies also stated that this wax is FDA approved and SAFE to eat. Why those same kind of waxes are part of our favourite chocolate/candy/pastries!

Extra info goodness: These wax formulations are natural, non-petroleum based coatings.(Washington Apples website)

So, it is assumed safe to eat this apples on the spot? NO! Why? You still gotta wash them. Reason: DIRT! And also other people with unwashed hands touching them!

If for some reason you still FEAR the wax, you could remove them by scrubbing with a vegetable brush briefly in lukewarm water and rinsed before eating, as suggested by the US Apples Association. Another alternative: cut 'em apart.

For me, I just washed them apples and eat it with its skin! NOM NOM NOM!

PS: By NOT eating the skin, your missing out on this: The skin of Apple contain pectin that can help remove toxic substances from the system by supplying galacturonic acid. Pectin helps prevent protein matter in the intestine from spoiling. I even heard along side bananas, it can also ease your diarrhea problem. So your loss for not eating them delicious skins XD

Yes you heard me right! I am the proud owner of the guild, the High Knights Of Brunei (H.K.O.B) for the MMO Hello Kitty Online!

Basically its a simple game that concentrate more on gathering resources (for cooking, sewing etc) and less on battling (so sorry guys no battle skills ^^")

Oh look! I also got a dinosaur for a pet! Hehehehe

I much prefer to play in windows mode, so that i can play my all time favourite game, GUILDWARS!

FYI this game is still in its closed beta stages. Rumour has it, it will be open later in december. How i got to play this game is by registering myself at fileplanet and sanriotown website ^^ (and thanks to Greenery for introducing this game to me).

For me, I much prefer playing guildwars (especially the PVP part) but for this game is for casual gaming, where much focus is in gathering resources. Sure there are monsters (cute ones) in this game, but as i said, do NOT expect any attacking skills. To "stuns" and gather the resources from these animals, you just point and click (or press T for an auto target) and walah(?) your character whacks the enemy till their Health Points goes nil.

Right now me, monnie and my lil sister is playing this game just for fun (me? I just want to make the first bruneian guild in that world, hehehe) and if any of you interested in joining my guild, gimme a private chat using my IGN: Masta_brunei

Yup, you might be wondering where was I? Ripas Hospital is my current location, and currently being treated for the blood clots in my lungs. What does that mean? It means that anything i do, i will find myself breathing hard, up to a point i need assistance from the oxygen tanks.

Also, no raya for me though, since the doctor deemed me as unfit to go out.

When shall i go out? Depends on the doctor 6 days from now. IF he sees me still unfit, then i will be held again for another week.

ever noticed some things only happen in the movies, but you never see in real life? well here they are:

Yup, you heard me right.

Told my family I will arrive at 8.45 am on the 7th of September.

It turns out the flight came way~~~~ earlier than expected... 8.07 am!

When I peered outside, obviously no one was around.

*sigh* I just wished the flight came on-schedule as I am expecting a reunion of EPIC proportions from the family and relatives XD

Still! When I came out of the arrival hall (pick up bags, taking my time), my family was there, and much hugging ensued =D

I am going to miss UK. I am anticipating with glee for Brunei

I am going to miss the cool UK weather and now worrying about the hot/rainy days of Brunei.

Gonna miss the diverse selection of UK food, yet I am now craving for Mama's cooking and what Brunei has to offer.

UK's shopping is full of bargains and varieties, especially my size, whereas Brunei has less and some pirated, but were cheap to buy. Not really into Brands, but sometimes quality is better than quantity, and UK got 'em, Brunei ain't.

Really really going to miss is the high-speed, stable internet, except my advice for future students/workers to avoid the wireless MOBILE internet as offered by vodaphone as such. Not really worth the money(expensive and has limits), speed and stability (wireless tend to easily disconnected). I was lucky the university provided it inclusive with my accommodation, thus no need for applying the mentioned mobile internet services.

Brunei has family and friends, and can't wait to be reunited with them.

However, one thing dawned on me about going back to Brunei this Sunday (on arrival) it is going to be a bitter sweet arrival.

Sweet because I truly miss my family and friends, for 1 year not meeting them, thus much hugs will be happening at the airport (tears perhaps?). Bitter because I was just being told that Grandpa Kong has passed away and his funeral will be the same day as my arrival, thus gonna miss it. Condolences to the family and am truly regrettably unable to attend.

Going back to topic, UK will be missed. Lots of memories gained, dramas unfolded, wonderful experience, friends gained and appreciation earned. Truly going to miss UK.

Nevertheless, it is not all that bad news. I already have two plans to come back to UK to attend my little sister's graduation and my graduation. However, I will come back as a tourist, no more a student.

Those were all my random thoughts right now, random but true. On Sunday Brunei morning, my UK journey will end, and I will be glad to be back...

...back as a proud Bruneian, who has endure a lot in his one-year UK journey.

Finished my dissertation, spend the last few days relaxing and shopping for family, and packing all my stuffs.

Why? Coz my UK experience is nearly ending! =D (7th arriving in Brunei)

Sad news, didn't managed to visit all the places as intended (like another round to Man U, the other museums) as I have to prioritize my work and stuffs first.

But then again, I will revisit England again for both my graduation and Monnie. I will go to these places except Man Utd, because the train ticket going there is expensive (Don't want to use Bus, too long of a journey).

After this, trying and trying my best to be active again in blogging. Got sidetracked a lot *sigh*

Anyways, I'm off!

Kill the batman - the joker aka Heath Ledger

Remember all those hype before the movie came out? Well it's well over and answered, and in my opinion, this movie... is A MUST WATCH!

And mind you, its not just only because of Heath Ledger's best and last (completed) performance, but also due to
- the very good storyline,
- actions and explosions
- the intensity of the situations (2 boats+civilians+prisioners for instance)
- the great musical score

2 movies so far is cinema worthy for me: Independance day (7 times); transformers (3 times: could have seen more but buzy month) and now, this, batman: the dark knight (2 times already)

but nevertheless, the Joker character really steals the show. Why, he even performs a Magic pencil trick AND redefined the "FIRETRUCK"

rating: 5/5

ps: at least Heath Ledger's Brokeback Mountain can be wiped out of memory and being replace by his spectacular acting in this movie. bravo bravo (sorry no encore since he's... well... dead ^^")

yesterday, me and my friends went to Great Yarmouth, a beach area in north east England.

All of us at that time were walking back to our rented car, when suddenly I notice this flower overshadowed by an another parked car.

It was so hidden, nobody noticed such a beautiful red flower surrounded by the white ones (which were aplenty at that time)

One fine Sunday afternoon, Masta Dbc decided to have a nice stroll at the nearby park in Manchester. So he went out of his friend's house and walked down the street, passing and looking at his neighbour's house.

One house has caught his attention, as he sees a black, furry cat peering out at him through the window.

He walked up to the window and tries to "communicate" with the cat.

"Here kitty kitty... nice kitty..."

The cat then slowly...

...look up...

...at him...

... and the cat just simply move away, uninterested in Masta DBC.

And so the story ends, with Masta DBC happily continues on his journey to the park while the cat just simply do what it wants to do inside the house.

wagamama, a noodle restaurant in UK. I always order number 43 (amai udon)

no worries people, the one above is ok for us to eat. just dont order the chicken ones, and i think the salmon ramen is unfortunately, not EATable (if there is such a word). reason? its uses a chicken/pork based soup.

ok, quick review before i go to sleep. this food... is DELICIOUS! with a bit of wagamama's chilli oil, and crushed nuts on top of the thick udon noodles, this food is simply tasty!

the only bad thing is that only a few prawns were added in (aww)... and EXPENSIVE (7.25? pounds each)

quick tip: check out wagamama online for promo vouchers. if your lucky, the 2for1 are there, so grab a friend, and split the bill between you

quick tip2: DONT order any drinks EXCEPT green tea. why? with the main meal you ordered, you get UNLIMITED free flow of green tea. if tea is not in your bag, just order tap water (I ASSUMED you are a student on a budget living in UK but wanting to taste good quality food).

quick tip3: order #42 (forgotten the name). recommended by my friend. equally delicious BUT WAIT! it contain chicken! oh noes!....

... actually, what my friend did is to order #42 BUT politely ask for NO chicken. They will gladly do it. add a bit of chilli oil and NOM NOM NOM!

Anyone watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skulls? Well it was worth it to watch it, although in the end... the ending was...

ah ah ah! no spoilage! hehehehe

But it was good action moving, the only thing that i wish was:

more WHIP action
less CGI effect (in my opinion, it is not THAT really important having the CGI *BEEP!* (keh, fine) animal early in the movie)
the ending (no, not the part about him and *beep* get*beep* *beep* that one is nice. what i meant the part about the *BEEP!*) - once you watch it, you'll get it

its a 4/5 for me ^^, enjoyble to watch, but can be pefect

hats off to shia le beof for a good performance, especially what he do with the knife (AND please KIDS, do NOT imitate him, or risk losing your fingers)

By the way, me, monnie and 4 more friends went to Oslo on a DAY trip. But since Monnie and I were on a limited budget, we decided to part ways.

PLUS!~ we only get to spend around 5 hours there! (our next flight is at night AND we need to use a bus to get to the airport, which is... 2 hours away! yay! >_>)

So with limited budget+less than 5 hours+my trusty N95's camera, me and monnie decided to visit ALL THE museums nearby AND take as much as pictures as possible

UNFORTUNATELY, not all places allows camera

FORTUNATELY, the one presented in the OSLO storyline, they do allowed picture taking, and some "statues" we found by accident while walking

well its good, but then i have a wee bit problem at that time... the train ride (refer oslo part 1), they wiped out our budget! (the one we brought from UK!). Luckily for us, Steen and Strom (a shopping place) offers FREE toilet use, although its mixed, BUT ITS FREE AND UNLOCKED! yay!

"We have arrived!" exclaimed Monnie.

True enough, they have arrived at the Film Museum, where rumours said that, not only the place is full of old film equipment, but also “cursed” audience from earlier times…

But what the siblings didn’t know is the evil lurked within….

When they entered the museum, they were greeted with old machines of the Past

also the dresses of the Past

and also more old equipments

Masta DBC even has a chance to visit the "HALL OF PAST FILMS"

Monnie was fortunate enough to see the "small people" living in their small house

"Wait! Is this it?"

He inspects the equipment...

...but unfortunately, it was not the one they were seeking for.

"Ooh! Horsey! Horsey!" exclaimed Monnie,

Something has caught Monnie's attention. She went across the room and...

*GASP! BIG BLADDER!!!! errks... i mean BIG BROTHERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!"

Yes readers, they are looking at the CURSED AUDIENCES...

or so they think...

"uh... brother... why is there two chairs labelled with our names there..."

"I dunno... and I ain't going to find out..."

Both the siblings then double their effort in find the all-seeing equipment.

In the next room, Monnie found an odd looking equipment.

"Brother oh brother! check it out!"

Masta went over and immediately put his hand in

"AHHHHHHHH! MY HAND! MY HAND! ITS EATING MY HAND!" He screams

"KYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Went Monnie like a japanese school girl would do.

Suddenly Masta DBC laughs hard

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Now readers, try to imagine this part where Masta DBC was

kicked,

punched,

slapped upon,

karate chops,

upper-cut,

and lastly MONNIE lauched a FLYING KICKED towards him...

sending him to the nearest wall... as can be seen in the next picture...

Suddenly, from the corner out of his eyes, DBC finally found the searched item.

"HERE IT IS!"

"FLYINNNNGG KICK!!!!!"

*WHAMMED*

Monnie (obviously wanted to be the first) went to the machine and looked through it.

"I see me holding ponies!"

"What???" and Masta noticed a sign reading "Imagination-brought-to-life machine"

"Oh wrong machine. Maybe its this one"

He looks through it...

And inside he sees written instruction.

[TO SUMMON THE LION, THE HEAD MUST SEE NO EVIL, HEAR NO EVIL AND SPEAK NO EVIL]

"Interesting..." said Masta.

[P.S: IF I WERE YOU, BETTER RUN NOW]

"Huh??"

SUDDENLY!

"ROK ROK ROKKKKKKKKK!"

A horrifying creature has suddenly appeared out of the nowhere, and it can be clearly be seen from his eyes that he wanted to kill both the siblings.

As quick as lightning, they ran out of the building with their dear lives.

Finally they managed to catch their breath and also felt grateful to get out of there alive. But now they realised they were presented with another puzzling instruction.

"What does that mean, to summon the lion, the head must see, hear and speak no evil?" Monnie ponders.

"Not sure" Replied Masta. "Let us look around. Maybe something may popped up"

And so, the sibling search from one end...

to another end...

Looking at famous statues...

famous landmarks, famous places...

famous treasures, paintings

("Look! its Pumbaa from the Lion King")

and through famous shopping centres...

"Ahh... Finally FREE toilet in this shopping centre)

...to no avail, they were stumped and clueless as to what the instruction wants.

"Sniff... we failed mission, biggie bro?" asked the nearly in tears Monnie as she sat down.

"Hate to admit it... but... but...." his eyes widen.

"But what?"

"But your butt is sitting on top of the head!" Exclaimed DBC in excitement.

Monnie jumped up and sure it was, she was sitting on top of the "head"

"yay yay yay" as both dance around like monkeys.

"So what do we do now brother?" asked Monnie.

"Remember the instructions? To summon the Lion, the head must...

"See no evil"

"...Hear no evil..."

"... and Speak no evil!"

A thunderous sound was heard and all of the sudden the ground shook very violently. Slowly but surely, a building rises from the ground, much to the amazement of the siblings.

When it is all done, the siblings looked at one another and nodded at each other

"Shall we?"

"We shall"

Both the siblings entered the building,

and they were greeted with such sights!

"the eternal lighted bottle"

The wonderful wonderful world of bottle cabinets

The funtastical world of fun

and in the middle of them all,

The Magnificent and bottolistic Chandelier

As they were admiring the place, they heard a thunderous roar of a lion from the outside.

"Brother! Its the lion!" and true enough, the Lion can be seen approaching the building from where they stand.

Without hesitation, both the siblings ran outside to greet the lion.

"Greetings great lion" said Masta DBC.

"Welcome siblings" replied the Lion. "Said no more of your past journey, instead, congratulations. Congratulations for both of you for finally completing your journey. Your seeking for one to complete the quested three, shall end here, as I have it already ready for you inside my humble abode.

Both of them are speechless.

"Th...thank you Great Kitty" Monnie tries to hug the lion

"NOOO!!!" Masta DBC yelled and he jumped forward to prevent Monnie from doing it.

*CHOMPED*

Good news, Monnie managed to be pushed away

Bad news, yup, you guess it right... her brother got bitten in the hand instead...

After clearing a few misunderstanding, both of them then went inside the Lion's den and looked at their lastest and last gift.

And such a perfect gift indeed, as standing in front of them, the finest, smoothest and all around unstainable suit and dresses of the world.

They packed the clothes, send it express air-cargo as usual and gives their goodbyes and thanks to the lion.

Fortunately for them, the journey back home is easy

Fortunately the King and Queen, they are loving their gifts

Fortunately for Monnie, she gets to play fireworks

Fortunately for Masta DBC, he gets his... "gifts"

and fortunately for us... the story has come to a happy...

YAY! after much delay etc, OSLO part 2 is up and i am finish!!!

Will i do this ever again? YES! because its fun and entertaning!

I got to get new material and right now I have to focus for my exam at the end of the month (2 separate dates). No worries, updates will be here as usual but for the storylines ones, ye have to wait.

The 3 perfect gift - oslo's experience (norway) PART 1

This story began when two siblings arrived at a city called Oslo, in the kingdom of Norway.

The brother, who calls himself Masta DBC,

and the sister, who called herself Monnie,

were in a quest to find the 3 perfect gift for their King and Queen of Ienurb Malassurad.

After a long and hard journey through the skies, both have finally arrived at Norway.

But in order to continue their journey, they have to board the long and rectangular magical box on wheels called "the bus".

They boarded "the bus"...

but Masta DBC knows that this journey will not be easy and will be full of adventures.

*I do hope they have enough save points like in the games*

Alas for them, the "bus" can only take them so far, as its magic range is limited between the train station and the airport.

Bidding farewell to the magical moving box, the two siblings waited at the station for the train.

"So which way shall we go brother?

"I think we should go this way"

"I beg to differ, brother of mine, but I think we should go this way"

"NO! We should go this way!"

"WHY???"

"Because I got the map! Duh!"

[Masta DBC was given the upper-cut by Monnie]

Moving on, the train finally arrived and they both boarded it (by the way, Masta DBC was correct on which way to go to)

Once inside, the siblings has made a shocking discovery

"OHNOES!" Both scream out loud

"Sniff, sniff, what shall we do brother? We have no munny..."

"No worries, we have mastercard, debit card, traveller's check..."

[At this point, Masta DBC has another helping of violent acts inflicted upon him by Monnie]

Fast forwarding, the two siblings have finally arrived at the city of Oslo.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, a tiger leapt out in front of them.

"Oh! Cute tiger! Petty petty" said monnie, and she moves forward to pet the tiger...

*BITE!*

...or so it seems.

Monnie then running around the area, screaming in pain.

"NO ONE PETS ME!" roared the tiger.

"Apologies for my sister, o'great tiger, as she tends to do that when she sees cute cats, no matter the size"

"I see"

By the wave of his tail, Monnie's hand magically heal and she just stands behind her brother. The tiger then turns his attention to Masta DBC.

"Who are you, and what are your purpose here?" Asked the Tiger

"The name's Masta DBC, and this girl next to me, is my sister, Monnie" replied DBC. "We are here, o'mighty tiger, to find three gifts for our King and Queen at home. Do you happened to know where we could find such gifts?"

"Yes I do"

"Please, can you tell us where and what are the gifts?" asked DBC.

"In order to find the perfect gifts, continue your journey South-westward, where ye shall find the eternally stoned statue of the once fallen hero and his wife. From there, it will provide a clue to the nearest second gift, the Sword of Justice."

"The second gift?" DBC is puzzle. "What about the first gift?"

"The first gift is actually with me, the Stone tablet of the Eternal Peace Dove" replied the tiger. "And since you have barely begun your journeys and ye shall face much adventures in the near future, I shall give ye this stone tablet, for a price of EURO 199. Will that be cash or credit card?"

"Credit card please"

"Thank you" said the tiger.

And so, the first perfect gift has been purchased, much to the delight of the siblings.

"Thank you o'mighty tiger". Slowly Masta DBC hug the tiger in the face as a sign of gratefulness.

Monnie also tries to hug...

*CHOMP!*

"UWAAAA!!!!!!!!!!"

After a while (and once Monnie's hand is being healed again), the tiger then roared to them...

"NOW! ONWARDS BROTHER AND SISTER! MAY YE BOTH HAVE SAFE JOURNEY AHEAD" and quick as a lightning, he dissapear from sight.

The two siblings, with their acquired and purchased first gift, then walked South-west. After twenty minutes of walking they finally found the statues.

Underneath the statue, it says "Follow the gazing eyes. Then find the american icon and ye shall find the next clue". After much careful study, they found out the statue's gaze pointed east so they decided to go in that direction

For awhile, they both thought that they were lost, when suddenly...

"I FOUND IT!"

"Good, good. Now we need to find the next clue" said DBC

Searching through the statue of liberty, through the half-car, through the clock, the flag, and finally the brother found the next clue, hidden in the comb.

"It said here that to find the sword, one must find the troll lurking in the market, holding the flag".

So they went to the nearest market and lucky for them, they spotted the said troll

"oh mr.troll, can we please have the Sword of Justice?" asked Monnie in a sweet voice

"Yes you may, but you have to defeat my bodyguard first" replied the troll

"Ok, let me at 'em" said DBC, cracking his fist

"Hohoho, so much confidence. Well then, here is yer opponent"

From the tent, there emerges a big moose, taller than Masta DBC himself

All of a sudden, the moose pulls DBC forward and then tries to give him the "MOOSE HUG OF DEATH".

DBC managed to avoid it and counter the Moose's move and instead he went to chockslam him, Undertaker style, thus ensuring his win.

(acutally DBC cheated by stunning him in the back using a stun gun when no one is watching, and then chokeslam the animal)

DBC roared and show off his winning pose

"I wanna show off my winning pose too!"

"Hohoho, congratulations young hero. Yer have proven yer worth, and thus, yee can ave the Sword of Justice"

DBC receives the Sword and then he immediately FedEx it to home.

"Now Friend, where can we find the next gift?"

"To find the gift is to find the Lion"

"Oh oh! And where can we find this cute king of kitty?"

"To find him, you must search for the looking device in the nearest Film Museum, right about the next block"

"I see" said DBC "Thank you friend"

"Safe Journey for both of you" said the troll, and so both the siblings continued their adventures to meet the lion, in order to find the last gift...
